Get Quality Backlinks – The Myths About Backlinks Revealed

As every webmaster will know its very important to concentrate on building your backlinks. This can however be a very difficult process if you don’t know what you are doing. Everyone’s always talking about building relevant backlinks and backlinks from websites that have a high Google page rank.

What is the need for high page rank backlinks?

Google awards websites page rank for many reasons. The main reason is due to the contents that the website holds and the amount of backlinks it has. A website that has been awarded a high page rank from Google shows its authority on the web. So a website with a page rank of 5 has more authority then a website with a page rank of 3.

If a link to your website is from a high page rank origin then this will give the backlink more authority and will be classed as a strong link by Google. So having 5 links from websites of a page rank 5 is better then 10 links from websites that have no page rank. This doesn’t mean that they don’t count; they do but they are not strong.

The myths about backlinks Myth 1

One of the misunderstandings by webmasters is that if you get backlinks from non relevant websites Google will not count these links or Google will penalize you.

Sure its good to have relevant backlinks and Google promote this however non relevant backlinks also count. An example that I can give you is by going to Google and typing in the words ‘miserable failure’ you will notice that the white house biography for George Bush ranks very high. The reason this happened was due to the amount of backlinks pointing to this using the words miserable failure. 90% of the backlinks came from non relevant sites. Google uses a computer based programme to rank websites by examining the number and relative popularity of links. The conclusion I have come to is that you will need a few relative backlinks however don’t miss out on the high page rank backlinks because they are not relevant. 구글상위노출

If for example you was writing an article regarding backlinks and you add a link to your site that provides free beauty products, for example, then don’t think that the back link will not count.

Myth 2

If you leave your link on an “inner page” that has a low or 0 page rank inside of a high page rank domain this will add no value to your site or is no good.

Again this is false. I found out this information just a little while back from an educated lady known as Angela. One of Angela’s key focuses is on backlinks. To prove this statement was a myth she advised us to go to Google and type in the word backlinks. You will notice that on page 1 of the Google search results there is an article from go articles which was written by her. She only used backlinks from inner pages of authority sites that had no page rank on the actual page.
